What You Need To Know As You Contemplate Becoming A Demonstrator

1) What is the profit margin?  We earn 25% commission in any month that our retail sales are greater than $100 (monthly sales less than that earn 10% commission). When monthly sales reach $1000, we receive an 8% bonus on all sales that month back to the first dollar. Additional bonuses apply when monthly sales reach $2,000 and $3,000. 

2) Is there a minimum dollar amount or number of parties that need to be held to stay active? You only need to place one order every six months to remain active.  There is no requirement to build a team, but doing so will enhance your earnings. 

3) Are there any startup requirements other than getting a starter kit and maybe having an Open House or having a friend have one for me? Although not required, our UpStart program provides big incentives for meeting certain milestone within your first 60 days. You can earn up to $600 in free product of your choice as well as supplies and more. I will work with you to reach these goals and help you maximize your UpStart period. 

4) Does the company process all payments for you (credit cards, checks from customers) or is that processed through you and checks made payable to you? You do process cash and check payments yourself, so checks need to be made out to you. Credit card orders are handled by UL, so you do not incur credit card processing fees. In certain instances, it is beneficial to have your own credit card processor, but that is entirely optional. I will help you determine if this is the right option for you. 

5) How are orders processed and shipped/distributed? All of our orders are custom made as they are ordered (so there's no warehousing - this makes the product fresher, better). Once an order is submitted, they'll get it processed and shipped in the order in which it was received. You can have an order shipped directly to a customer, directly to your hostess or directly to you.

6) How often and in what form do you get paid? All Commissions are paid once a week and are direct deposited to your bank account. Team commissions are paid once a month on the 10th.

7) How long, on average, does it take to receive an order after it has been submitted? Manufacturing generally takes about 5-10 business days. Most orders are received in 2-3 weeks, including shipping time. 

8) How long does an average "Open House" or party last? The actual "in-home" time spent on an Open House should average 2-3 hours, including set up and clean up.

9) Is there any training on how to do an Open House? UL offers audio trainings and training documents on the internal UL website. Occasionally team or area meetings are held. Also, as always, I'll be there to explain how everything works.  We have a fabULous Facebook Team page that keeps us inspired and encouraged daily!!

10) How much in inventory should I hold? None! Our products are so customized that it's impossible to keep an inventory. You will want a few display items to take to parties with you. You can create most of these with the items included in your starter kit. 

11) Do I get a Website? Yes, your personal website it free for one year (remember if no sales in 6 months you get dropped though).  After a year it is $60 for a year or $19.95 for three months.

12) How much does it cost to join? We have two different starter kits, priced at $49 and $199. The smaller kit includes a minimal number of catalogs, brochures and samples. It's designed for people who want to share our products and opportunity via social media and/or former demonstrators who already have business supplies. The larger kit includes plenty of catalogs, brochures, postcards and vinyl samples to see you through several parties and more. BOTH kits include $50 in credit for product of your choice and a year of our Premium Website. I can work with you to determine which kit is the best choice for you based on your specific goals.
